Bra shopping is not for the faint hearted, it can be a long and tiresome exercise sometimes…. Especially when you have a bigger bust or a hard to find bra size.
I recently embarked on a bra shopping trip and I really wanted to share my experience.
10 years ago, there were no options, no variety except for big Nanna bras, now I went into a store and I had over 16 bras that I could try on. Which is awesome… BUT….
If I can go into a store knowing what I do and still have to try on 16 bras to find 2 that worked for me, what hope do we have? The fitter was great, knowledgeable and pretty onto it. The last bra I bought was a 32HH by Panache and this time the sizes I tried on varied from a 32J to a 36H (AU10J TO 14H) that’s just crazy!
We are in a global economy where we are buying internationally; it is time that lingerie companies introduce a GLOBAL sizing system. This will make it easier to purchase online, try new brands and make it much easier for women when they’re bra shopping. Retailers and labels make more sales, therefore more money and women have a much more enjoyable experience.
This bra shopping trip I was looking for a pretty lingerie set that I could wear everyday. The colors, shapes and styles varied greatly as I tried Freya, Fantastie, Panache and Ewa Michalak. My past fav’s didn’t really do anything for me this time, so I ended up with Ewa Michalak. The sizing was really random, so I wouldn’t risk buying online, but I am really happy with them. I would like to see a little more support in the back to take more pressure off the shoulders, but all in all I really liked it.
Here are the two lingerie sets I have been wearing.
