Easy Peasy Juice Cleanse

Is a juice detox all it’s cracked up to be? Juices are the new black! Recently I took the Schkinny Maninny 3 day juice cleanse for a whirl.

Truth is I am a complete detox junkie, I love me a good detox! I have probably tried nearly every detox imaginable.

It’s important that we cleanse our bodies from all of the toxins, preservatives and free radicals we put in it. The body does naturally detox itself however in this day and age when convenience often triumphs then it needs a helping hand.

I have a green juice every morning and I love them. But I am not going to lie cleaning the juicer sucks balls! Last year I did a juice detox myself for 5 days and it was OK but you go through oodles of fruit and vegetables and you’re cleaning the juices ALL the time. The thought of not having to clean the juicer appealed to me the most.

So the Schkinny Maninny was delivered to my door on Monday afternoon (if you’re in a 20km radius of the CBD then it gets delivered daily) ready for me to start it on Tuesday. What I really liked about the Schkinny Maninny juice cleanse is:

• The convenience of not having to juice all day long!
• If you’re on the go you can grab a bottle and drink on your travels.
• You don’t have to think about it at all.
• Each bottle is numbered so you know which one to have next.
• Each juice is different because the ingredients are suited to what you’re body needs at that time.
• You get emailed little daily prompts to help you along the way.

I think it’s a great kick start if you’re about to ramp up your fitness and well being. If you want to lose weight this is a great way to flush your body of everything that doesn’t belong there.

I didn’t weigh myself before I started (because my scales are broken) but I can definitely say that I didn’t feel as bloated and when I looked in the mirror you could see the difference. I am feeling really good and more energised.

The cleanse I went on costs $52 which I think is very reasonable because you would spend that on ingredients doing it yourself anyway, easy! And you don’t have to do anything which makes it much more doable and appealing.

Oooo I must say I did only light exercise during the cleanse but I did do Body Pump the day after I finished the cleanse. That I wouldn’t recommend! If you’re prone to low blood pressure like me then give it a few days before you get back into your normal workouts.
