Changing The Face Of Beauty.

We have been talking about and promoting positive body image for a long time now, in fact it is our mission at Bra Queen that we encourage, help and inspire women to expect and love themselves as they are. Not lighter. Not heavier. Not taller. Not shorter. Younger. Older. Less curvy. More curvy. Bigger boobs. Smaller boobs. But as you are right here, right now.

Self-expectance plays a big role in your happiness and happiness plays a big role in your health and well being.

Something we really want to do within the lingerie industry, particularly in Australia is see more brands in Australia to create more diversity in our stores so we can cater to ALL women. No matter where they live, what size they are and what kind of lingerie they like. Women shouldn't have to buy lingerie internationally or travel miles just to find a bra; surely in 2015 we can go to our shopping centre or shopping strip to buy a bra?

Lingerie makes you feel good, that is why we love it so much. When you feel good you’re happy, when you’re happy you enjoy life. Simple.

On the flip side of body image we are also on a mission to changing the beauty standards in advertising. Surely there is more to life then how society says we should look and feel. Beauty comes in every size, color, shape and personality. Surely the world hasn’t become that shallow where we believe the beauty comes in a one-size-fits-all box. As a Mother of two girls this concerns me beyond belief because I don’t want my girls to have the same body loathing and self-hatred issues that has become so normal.

Where we judge others by what they eat, how they look and decide if they need to shed a few kilos or put on a few kilos. Where we look for things that are outside the beauty standards like skin disorders, disability’s, wheelchairs, amputees and the vast amount of other things that are outside the beauty box… that also represents the majority of the population mind yo.

What a joke.

This will change because our small army is getting bigger, more passionate and more dedicated by the day.
