Cake Lingerie A Giving Away Bras!

Cake Lingerie are just going from strength to strength and I couldn't be happier and I am so proud of them! They have been featured in the media from New York where they were discussing the hot topic of sexy nursing bras and if there is a need for them. Then in the UK where they have just received an award for best Maternity bras. A big congratulations and I hear you are giving away bras to celebrate?

This is what I caught a whisper of...

Who would have thought an initial article in the NY Times on Maternity & Nursing Bras, (http://t.co/bayxa7x), would cause as much discussion and controversy as it has on message boards. Sparking debate on sites such as Jezebel (http://goo.gl/Cl8OI), Babble.com
(http://goo.gl/J6OjD) and Babycenter.com (http://goo.gl/2MEdD) to name a few. “Using sexual references and innuendos to promote maternity bras just adds pressure to women, who are already facing a period of great upheaval & adjustment. Of course some
women find this a “sexy” time, but many may not. We respect that at Cake Lingerie,” says Tracey Montford, Cake Lingerie Designer and Founder.
“Cake Lingerie has never intentionally created provocative imagery or marketing content with sexual reference. If pretty, luxurious nursing bras make women feel sexy, empowered, gorgeous and boosts their self-esteem then that’s great. However, it needs to primarily fulfil its function, provide support and enable great shape,” she said. Cake Lingerie specialises in the creation of beautiful maternity lingerie that is made up of 7 product types, that include non-wired soft cup, mould cup, fuller figure, flexible wire,
convertible, seamless sleep bras and nightwear in fashion and basic styles. We want you to be the judge – can maternity and nursing bras be feminine, functional and versatile all at the same time?

Cake Lingerie will be giving out 30 bras; one each day from 12th Sep to 11th Oct – inviting pregnant and nursing women to judge its fit, function, support, attitudes and designs.

Register your participation at www.cakelingerie.com/survey and follow the prompts.

  • I don’t get why women get so sensitive about being ‘sexy’ when they are pregnant or nursing – how the heck did you get pregnant in the first place?!!!
Your body may look different and be doing other things, but it’s still beautiful and attractive and you should be proud of that.

Good point! I think women feel different things when they are pregnant but I totally agree it’s important to feel good and the fact remains wearing a sexy or pretty lingerie set does make you feel good. Rx
