5 Key Strategy’s To Get Stuff Done!

One of the biggest frustrations that most people have is overwhelm. We have so much to do and we spread ourselves so thin that we are left exhausted. Not only are we exhausted but we are now stressed to the hilt because of our workload and we have so much to do we don’t do anything because we don’t know where to start.

Feel before you speak and if you’re running around in circles, stop what you are doing. A breathe is severely underrated! Get out of your head and into your heart because I guarantee you don’t feel good when you are in this space. The key is to feel good in everything you do. It’s worth try.

5 Key Strategy’s To Get Stuff Done!

1. You have to know what it is you WANT to be doing with your time- If you don’t know what your ideal day looks like then you don’t know when it happens. Write down what your ultimate day looks like. What are you responsible for? What tasks do you carry out?
2. Mind map everything that needs to be done- Color code it and look at what you have to do and what you can delegate. Remember 80% of what we do can be delegated, 20% of it is what we really need to be doing. 80% of our income comes from 20% of what we do. I have an App called Mindjet that I love and you can email it to yourself and print it out or keep a softcopy and you can update it whenever you need too. It even makes employing people so much easier because you know what their job role is.
3. Set your intention for the day- I mediate every morning before I get out of bed and I set my intention for the day. What do I want to feel? What do I want to happen? Trust that everything will flow exactly how you want it too. It may sound a little out there but when you silence the mind you are refuelling your tank and all the answers come. Don’t look at the big picture focus on why you do what you do. How many people’s lives can I make easier today? I am looking forward to empowering women today. Too many people get caught up in money and sales and “stuff” that they loose track of what it’s really about.
4. Brain dump- Clear your head, grab a piece of paper and have a brain dump of all your thoughts and ideas. Get all the “stuff” out of your head. Now you do two things, you prioritise it logically then look at what feels right, what are you drawn towards, what to do want to do? Keep a journal.
5. Look at what you have done instead of everything you haven’t- One thing we are really good at is not celebrating our successes and achievements. We focus on what we haven’t and not what we have. Recently I realised something, I am living my ultimate day. I did exactly what I said in point one and now I’m living it. I didn’t even realise, I was beginning to be so engrossed in everything I had to do and adhering to deadlines and “oh my gosh how am I going to fit all of this in….” I didn’t realise. I stopped because it didn’t feel good, I looked within, I looked around and I looked back. Blow me down I climbed the mountain and seen another one and just kept climbing, my bad I forgot to enjoy the view.

Everyday in everyway I am living my life and enjoying right now. Just by doing that I was able to turn it around, just like you can. Do what feels good and enjoy the moment, have fun and be all you can be because that is where success lies, the money will come when you do. Things aren’t as stressful when you are in the moment and you realise it’s not as bad as what you had originally thought. There is no problem just something that needs a solution, no drama in that.

My girls (8 & 5) and I have just started setting our intentions at the start of each day and our 3 M.I.T.’s it’s amazing how much more productive you can be once you do these two things.

I use Evernote and just dump stuff in there all the time but focus only on 3 top outcomes a day..I find that the less I have in my calendar the more I get done..otherwise overwhelm takes up my brain bandwidth!! lol
